Kanpur Institute of Technology (KIT) has been founded by ITES (Indus Technical Education Society) in 2004. The institution was established to provide top-quality engineering & management education to establish a way of life that contributes to the development of the nation and its people through quality education.
Kanpur Institute of Technology and Pharmacy is also being launched in the year 2009 by the same promising and devoted team, with the initiative to enrich the society with highly talented professionals in the field of pharmacy, a pharmacy institute affiliated to Gautam Buddha Technical University (formerly Uttar Pradesh Technical University)
KIT campus is located at A-1, Rooma industrial area, kanpur , situated on the NH-2 express highway. The campus is accessible from major hub-points of kanpur in less Than 45 minutes.Campus is just 2 Kms from Kanpur Airport and 14 Kms away from Kanpur Central Railway Station on Kanpur –Allahabad highway(NH-2) towards Allahabad

The self- supporting campus is located at A-1, room industrial area, kanpur , situated on the express Highway. Spread over an area of 25 aces. The campus has separate hostels for boys and girls. The wi-fi campus has a fully automated library and a student activity centre for co-curricular and extracurricular activities. KIT boasts a state-of-the-art conference and seminar halls. The institute has three academic & administrative block with a total carpet area of 50,000 sq. ft. there are Well-lighted & ventilated Lecture Theatre, Class Rooms, Tutorial Rooms, Faculty Rooms, Office for the HOD; S, director’s office, administrative office, registrar’s office, maintenance office, Reprographics Room, Strong Room, Reception Lounge and the Visitor’s Room.
The library is fully automated with libsey (release 5.0 LAN version with web OPAC) and now houses about 25000 volume of books; all the books are bar-coded. The library subscribes to about 100 national/ international journals in print form, 95 in electronic through inter net , 17 magazines and at newspapers . A rich collection of CDs recognized & DVDs is also available for its users , the books in the library are classified according to the dewey decimal classification scheme 22nd addition and catalogued in MARC-21 format and manual form both by AACR-2 . the library is a member of DELNET\(developing library network). DELNET has about million catalogue records books , periodicals, articles, etc, available in machine-readable form. The library automated and networked in order to provide efficient reference service to its user can access our library throughs internet / intranet.
The computer centre is well equipped with all latest software and technologies . presently the Department has 8 labs, all centrally air-conditioned. With the capacity of 300 student. There are 400 system (core 2 duo/dual core/ p 4 configuration ), 50printers, LCD projectors, HP Scanner, digital camera, router connected to the network through 8 server. The Department Is taking care of the campus network with about 600 nodes in the academic building covering Computer center, laboratories, administrative offices, library, faculty rooms, reception, and Hostel. 24 hours internet connectivity facilities are available in hostel as well as in computer centre. We have internet connection of one IMBPS of TATAINDICOM & I MBPS from AIRTEL (both RF-connectivity). Our future target is to achieve the computing facility which will include The state of computer lab cum digital classroom and online library.
Separate Boys & Girls hostel with full security and all facilities like mess, water cooler,.They are with all modern facilities.
